At the beginning of 2017, operators have fully unleashed their battlefields in the NB-IoT space, and in 2017 may be the first year of China's NB-IoT scale commercial use. The China Information and Communications Research Institute believes that conditions for large-scale industrial development are rapidly emerging and will become a critical period for the development of the Internet of Things industry in the next 2-3 years.
The Internet of Things is still relatively conceptual, and many program companies that claim to be Internet of Things are cheating government subsidies under the banner of the Internet of Things. From the current situation, many companies use a bunch of low-end sensors and then collect data to the cloud, which is called the Internet of Things. The use of real users does not bring convenience to them. Instead, it increases the amount of maintenance work and is of no value to users.
Sensors are obstacles to the development of the Internet of Things?
Is the future of the Internet of Things meaningless? Not so, the Internet of Things can still bring convenience to users when the system is perfect. The main factor hindering the development of the Internet of things is sensors.
At this stage, the prices of high-end sensors are relatively expensive. There are tens of thousands and tens of thousands of them. There is no way to commercialize them. Low-end sensors can hardly be used. Not only are the data less accurate, they also have poor reliability and require frequent manual maintenance. If the data needed by the Internet of Things is inaccurate, what does it mean to use this data?
At present, the unit directly used is a government unit, but there are many program companies and the Internet of Things projects are scattered. The data in each place is scattered and there is no way to integrate these data. The value of many data is not particularly large. Some of the Internet of Things used by government units need to really connect the national and local areas in series. Each department is connected in series and the data can be communicated with each other to make use of each other to generate big data. In the short term, true data interconnection cannot be achieved.
The main factors affecting the cost of the sensor?
1, the current sensor market is dominated by foreign companies, the domestic mainly to do some low-end products, really do a good job of the sensor, leading to market monopoly phenomenon.
2, relevant core components can only be provided abroad, such as the sensor inside some LED light source, PD, motor and the like, the domestic related industrial chain is not mature enough. As a result, the domestic material cost is high.
3, sensor companies can not see too much revenue in the short term, the use of sensor units are scattered, individual sensor unit price is low, the current related industries, if it is to do the project, do not go to R & D, and just a project of millions of thousands Millions of people are willing to pay more money and do not need too much technology, resulting in fewer companies that are really willing to devote their resources to research and development.
The development of the Internet of Things requires a certain degree of standardization for the industrial market, otherwise it will be difficult to grow. For the civilian market, it is mainly cost and user experience. In the huge Internet of Things market, everybody wants to have a piece of glass. If they are all speculative, they will only smell the industry. Really hope that we can focus on user value, first of all, make products stable, use well, and be cheap, so that the market will grow.
