The deployment of the province's agricultural machinery conference to be held in Changsha, Hunan Province on February 20th this year will focus on the structural reform of the agricultural supply side and the development of precision agriculture. It will focus on promoting “four enhancements” such as increasing the mechanization level of rice production, and raising Hunan's agricultural modern production capacity.

 

Wang Luofang, director of the Provincial Bureau of Agricultural Machinery, explained that “four upgrades” refer to increasing the mechanization level of rice production, the entire mechanization level of rapeseed production, the mechanization level of forest fruit industry, and the level of agricultural machinery manufacturing. By the end of 2016, the comprehensive mechanization level of crops in our province had approached 45%. Among them, the rice transplanting rate was 26.2%. Although the growth rate was 8.6% year-on-year, machine interpolation remained one of the weakest links in the mechanization of rice production.

 

Specifically, in 2017, efforts will be made to optimize the implementation of subsidies for agricultural machinery purchases, strengthen the investigation of violations of laws and regulations, actively implement the Dongting Lake District Agricultural Mechanization Improvement Project, and jointly build Dongting Lake into a demonstration area for agricultural mechanization; and upgrade the level of modern agricultural cooperatives. Accomplish the qualified agricultural machinery cooperatives according to the established standards, and at the same time pay attention to the special features of hilly and mountainous areas and poverty-stricken areas; comprehensively promote the mechanization of rice and rapeseed production in an all-round way, strive to complete 18 million mu of machine transplants in the year, and fully promote the high-density mechanization of rapeseed Technology; strive to expand the scope and scope of agricultural machinery operations, and actively participate in the construction of high-standard farmland and suitable land and soil transformation projects, take the initiative to serve the management of heavy metal pollution of farmland, and gradually solve the problems of inorganic and organic non-supplementary livestock husbandry operations, and actively integrate into the agricultural product processing industry. At the same time, we must vigorously promote the use of high-quality, high-efficiency, eco-friendly farm implements and agricultural mechanization technology, and strive to nurture new types of professional agricultural machinery, solidly promote the development of the agricultural machinery industry, and earnestly implement agricultural machinery safety supervision.
